The servers served paramountly when they are seriously understaffed. Under a lot of pressure Windy kept things under control. I returned because the food is sooo good and we came mentally prepared for pressure, knowing that food is worth it. I suggest that owner of this restaurant add more worker to improve the quality of the service. It will help those servers superbly. I increased the rating because I can see their effort to provide the best quality even with long wait. It frustrates a lot of customers including myself. Windy should be working for somewhere better than that place that are constantly understaffed. Great food though, well done!

This is the first time we went to the Mount Juliet location, we waited for 50 minutes for just milkshakes. It was very disappointing and will never go there again. I think all stake and shakes are the same in service,slow even the franklin one

While this location seems to be much better than the one in Murfreesboro, my last visit they were severely understaffed. The "manager" was serving all the tables with the help of the drive-thru server. While they were friendly, it was obvious they were overwhelmed. I will say our food came out faster and a lot better than most Steak N Shakes I've been to. Only downside besides them being short staff was the fact we ordered a shake and never received it, although the table behind us ordered and received shakes at the same time as when we came in, however the manager was quick to remove it from our bill. I would return when in the Providence area in hopes that the food stays better than other locations.

So we went a year ago (July 2014) and had terrible service. We pointed it out to management how nasty the facility was and alerted them to the poor service of their staff staff. We went again tonight (August 2015) and while our direct server was decent the faculty was disgusting. There were multiple dirty tables in the front of restaurant that no one was attempting to clear. They tried to sit is near the bathroom in an odd-shaped booth when there were others available. They didn't provide silverware when we sat down, they had to wipe down the table, gave us straws with wet wrappers, no ketchup on the table and one order came out wrong. The kitchen was disgusting (photos attached). We waited at the check out station while servers walked by; we finally asked the cook to call someone up. We again alerted management and they seemed to care less and offered no apology!

For a burger joint its pretty darn good! Fresh, warm food. Burgers made to your liking. Taco salad pretty good too and the prices are low! Great milkshakes. Ive had butterfinger, heath, salted pretzel, all great snd HUGE! I shared with hubby! Super friendly and great customer service!

The place was buzzing with whispers of a personal nature over someone being re-hired... While we waited 25 minutes for cold chili... Cold fries minus the sea salt and cracked pepper and steak burgers... One with no grill on the bun and one with the bun burned. The tables were dirty, floors hadn't been swept or mopped in days and the cooks blonde hair was flying around everywhere. Very curious how they rated a 95. Last time at the Mt Juliet Steak and Shake... Very disappointed!!!!!

Was ok. Got a mushroom burger and a bacon burger to go, and both were basic but tasty. Had an issue where I sat in line for awhile waiting for my total, and finally drove to the window and waited till she came and asked for the money. I assume they were just very busy because it was almost like they just handed me food and closed the window and off I went. I used to enjoy going and getting a fresh burger and hope that the next visit will be better.

We were the only person in line at there drive thru we waited over 15 mins just for her to wait on us she never said anything to us until we said hello an once at the window we had to scrounge for correct change cause she didn't have any to break out $10.00 bill! I'm outraged!! I come to this location twice a week to get the same shake only cause I'm out here seeing my dr an we don't have one in LaVergne!! There's been lots of problems here lately over the last 3 weeks I've noticed an today was the last draw!! I'm done!! It took them over 20 mins to make 2 shake for me an they were just simple shakes once I received them, they weren't even have full!! She said there's nothing I can do about that an when I asked to speak to a manager she told me that there was nobody here today I could speak too an refused to tell me who the manager was! I WANT to talk to the manager about this an will be calling tomorrow. Because the service j was given today was horrendous!! Total time in the drive thru was 35 mins!!! And to boot 15 mins down the road started to drink my shake which was suppose to be chocolate covered strawberry with extra hot fudge, is banana with hot fudge with I'm allergic to bananas!! By this point I'm so friggen mad an due to the 35 mins being in their drive thru line they've already made me late an I CAN'T turn around an go back!! I'm done using them! I'll go back across the street to marble slab! Their ice cream is homemade anyways

Food here was brought out in a timely manner and it was what to expect coming from this establishment. The service on the other hand could use some work. Had to wait like 15 mins after we ate to get a menu for the shakes. Not to mention it was ten at night and hardly anyone in here. The staff was in the back chatting it up the whole time! I'm giving them 2 stars just for the fact my food came out correct.

I'll make this short and to the point. Went in last night to have desert with my lady and THE most annoying server I've ever met seated us at a table. He would not stop babbling and acting like a fool the entire 40 minutes we were there. He brought us waters and my wife had a dead fly in hers. I waited 10 minutes for him to come back before I could tell him about it, to which he replied, "Ohp, sorry!" When we got our desserts, they were a melted mess. When we ordered dessert, he said his cook was going to "kill him because he just put in 7 shake orders." he ran off and yelled to the cook "Don't kill me! I've got two more desserts!" A group of diners left as we ate what we could of the mess and that's when annoying server guy just got downright immature. He started jokingly (but very loudly) complaining about all the mess from the previous group he'd have to clean up. I looked over at their table and it wasn't crazy, they hadn't made any deliberate attempts to ruin his night. He would not shut up about it so we left. As we paid the man, he kept babbling about how it was clean before they came in and now he had so much to clean up. We could not leave fast enough. Most aggravating server award goes to this guy. Don't ask me his name because I looked and it was jibberish on his name tag.

Went for a bowel of Chili for the first time. Poor service even though I sat at the counter. The store was filthy dirty. The chili wasn't worthy of dog food. It wasn't cooked at all, beans were tough, (Right out if a can) broth had no flavor, very little meat, very little celery or onion in it. I ordered with onion and cheese, came with none. All of the above for a fabulous price of $5.00. Wendy's has them hands down on the chili. Stay away from this Shit-hole.

Stopped in with a party of 6, and got a table relatively easy. Had a bit of a wait for the food, which is probably to be expected with a party that size. Food was good, but everyone who had shakes complained they were unusually thin. Had we complained about this, I am sure it would have been addressed promptly, but we were too busy visiting with each other to start complaining. Fortunately, unlike Tara C, I did not get "Sick as a dog" eating here.

I try this location every few weeks and have rated it twice. I keep going back every month or so just to see if this locations managers have ever made any improvements. If you read my last reviews you will see I've been tough on this location. For good reason. Their late night drive through service is worse than any other restaurant I have ever been to in my 65 years. My last visit visit a couple weeks ago was short. This is the truth. I pulled to the speaker and before I ever said a word the man came on and said quote. " It will be at least 20 to 25 minutes before I can take your order ". That was it. I just drove off as I have many times before with out any service. It's got to the point I find it funny. I don't understand why they don't just shut the drive through down at night if they are not going to offer any service and at least save customers from wasting their time. I'll wait a few weeks and one night coming home from work I'll drop in and see if things have got any better. I clicked NO on additional info on this business for the drive through because if it's not functional it may as well not be there.

Do not no why it took 30 minutes to get my shake since I was done eating my dinner when it came but they took the shakes off the bill so I got them to go. The service was excellent but it seemed to take forever to get anything from the kitchen. Not your average steak n shake

Horrible service, 57 minutes to finally get my breakfast. Watched as my meal sat under a warmer for 25 minutes. Manager apologized and comped the meal, but the seating and service are horrible here!

Long wait to be seated, the hostess took our name and number of our party then another waitress came up and let a group get seated immediately while we stood there waiting our turn. They didn't bring my son's milkshake until we were nearly done eating and they didn't get my wife's burger right. Also we were never brought any napkins or silverware. Overall bad experience.

If you use the drive-thru at this location make sure you check your order before leaving the property, because they almost never get the order right. I am not exaggerating when I say they get the order wrong 90% of the time. If you don't want cheese on your hamburger you will have to go inside and order. I am convinced they intentionally ignore no-cheese requests in the drive-thru even though it is on the receipt.

Question? How does a business survive selling all you can eat pancakes for $3.99? Answer. Serve them at a rate of one single pancake per 15 minutes! Needless to say after 75 minutes and 5 total pancakes i was done. WITH THEM. ps....95% of short order restaurants include the drink in the kids meal so when i was forced to pay $2 dollars for the orange juice with my daughters FREE meal i was not happy!
